Upward Bound
Upward Bound provides intensive college preparatory support to high school students from low-income backgrounds with the potential to be the first generation in college from their families. Upward Bound promotes strong academic and personal development skills beginning in ninth grade and involves weekly sessions with an academic advisor responsible for monitoring the participants’ progress. Additionally, a nine-week summer enrichment program, hosted by Avila University, helps prepare participants for the college experience.  |
